My Safeway Trip Part 2, 2/11/12

I had to go out today so I went to Safeway to get my $3.50 back that I was overcharged yesterday. I was going to buy the turkey burgers and taquitos yesterday but thought I didn't have the coupons. I still managed to forget to cut out the taquito coupon but I can bring it with my receipt to get that money back next time I go. I decided to pick up 5 more cans of beans since after coupon they were $.59 each.

My Safeway Trip 2/10/12

I've posted the results of some of my drugstore trips so I wanted to post the results of (somewhat) typical weekly grocery store trip. I had a couple coupon glitches (for some reason I've been having horrible luck with my print at home coupons. I also realized I was overcharged for something so I'll have to go take it back tomorrow to get the difference (yes, I do that. This time it was over $3). I apologize that the picture isn't so clear, I figured that out after everything was put away. I had to go buy milk yesterday otherwise that would be in the picture too. And I got some Activia 4 pack for $.88 each the other day so I only bought 1 today. We are well stocked on lettuce and such so no veggies this trip. I was missing a couple coupons so when I go back I will get those items and post the results here.

Safeway Deals 2/1-2/7 EXPIRED

Safeway has some really good deals this week thanks to Sunday's Super Bowl game. In addition to $5 Friday, there is a 5 Day Sale where there are special sale items each day. I don't know about you but this drives me crazy. I don't want to be going to Safeway several days in a row just to get a good deal on something. However, I might stop in on Thursday to pick up a couple DiGiorno frozen pizzas (for my teens). They're on sale for $3.49, and there was a $2/2 coupon in this last Sunday's Smart Source insert.

Also, there is a spend $75 (in one transaction), Get a $10 Reward Coupon (with the usual exclusions), Wed.-Sun. only. This also drives me crazy. If they are going to entice us to shop at their store daily, the least they could do would be to make the reward cumulative. Am I right?
