My Nob Hill Trip 2/11/12

I had a nice stock up trip to Nob Hill. I had lots of GM cereal coupons with me but wasn't sure till I got there which cereals were part of the Buy 10 or more, Pay $1.50 each promotion. turns out it was plain Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Frosted Toast Crunch and Trix ( I was bummed no Honey Nut Cheerios). My Safeway Trip 2/10/12

I've posted the results of some of my drugstore trips so I wanted to post the results of (somewhat) typical weekly grocery store trip. I had a couple coupon glitches (for some reason I've been having horrible luck with my print at home coupons. I also realized I was overcharged for something so I'll have to go take it back tomorrow to get the difference (yes, I do that. This time it was over $3). I apologize that the picture isn't so clear, I figured that out after everything was put away. I had to go buy milk yesterday otherwise that would be in the picture too. And I got some Activia 4 pack for $.88 each the other day so I only bought 1 today. We are well stocked on lettuce and such so no veggies this trip. New Leaf Market Deals- February

They have a discount rack at the back of the Juice/Cereal section. The other day I was able to get a box of Celestial Seasonings Tea for $.99 after using a coupon.

New Leaf's monthly magazine Flavor (available online and in-store) contains all the sale items for the month, and you can even print a shopping list!

Mission Chips Coupon!

There is a $1 coupon on Mission's Facebook page. This is for chips or dip. I was hoping to use it on the sale tortillas at Safeway but alas.... I will hold onto it until these chips go on sale.

You have to allow an app. but you can just delete it after you get the coupon. You have to answer a question, then enter basic information. You can share with friends too. Doing so gets you the coupon (be sure to print it twice) and enters you to win a Party Pack from Mission.

Safeway Deals 2/1-2/7 EXPIRED

Safeway has some really good deals this week thanks to Sunday's Super Bowl game. In addition to $5 Friday, there is a 5 Day Sale where there are special sale items each day. I don't know about you but this drives me crazy. I don't want to be going to Safeway several days in a row just to get a good deal on something. However, I might stop in on Thursday to pick up a couple DiGiorno frozen pizzas (for my teens). They're on sale for $3.49, and there was a $2/2 coupon in this last Sunday's Smart Source insert.

Also, there is a spend $75 (in one transaction), Get a $10 Reward Coupon (with the usual exclusions), Wed.-Sun. only. This also drives me crazy. If they are going to entice us to shop at their store daily, the least they could do would be to make the reward cumulative. Am I right?

Head over to coupons.com and take a look. By switching zip codes you can find different products. In addition to our local zip codes, my 2 favorites are 90210 and 60625.

A note about wording- a coupon may say "Available At..." It is good anywhere since it is a Manufacturer Coupon (MQ). If it says "Redeem At...", then have have to use it at that particular store.

My Walgreens Trip 1/28/12

Here is my latest trip to Walgreens. I did 3 transactions total so I was able to "roll" my Register Rewards to pay for other items.

In a nutshell, here is how Walgreens Register Rewards works.

1. You can NOT have more coupons than items in a transaction, not counting in-ad coupons.
2. If you buy 2 of the same RR items, only ONE RR will print.
3. You can NOT "roll" RRs. In other words, you can't use a RR to pay for the same item. A 2nd RR won't print.
4. Always give MQs BEFORE Store coupons.

My CVS Trip(s) 1/23/12

I went to CVS on Monday to pick up the weekly ad so I could write a post about it. I ended up shopping and "winging it." If you have some spare time, I encourage you to just cruise the aisles at CVS. There are lots of things on the shelves marked down 75%. I always bring my coupons with me just in case of unadvertised deals. Here is a picture of what I got:
