My Walgreens Trip 1/28/12
Here is my latest trip to Walgreens. I did 3 transactions total so I was able to "roll" my Register Rewards to pay for other items.
In a nutshell, here is how Walgreens Register Rewards works.
1. You can NOT have more coupons than items in a transaction, not counting in-ad coupons.
2. If you buy 2 of the same RR items, only ONE RR will print.
3. You can NOT "roll" RRs. In other words, you can't use a RR to pay for the same item. A 2nd RR won't print.
4. Always give MQs BEFORE Store coupons.

My CVS Trip(s) 1/23/12
I went to CVS on Monday to pick up the weekly ad so I could write a post about it. I ended up shopping and "winging it." If you have some spare time, I encourage you to just cruise the aisles at CVS. The Cougar Card entitles its owner to a discount or other offer from participating merchants. We target local businesses to participate in this win-win program.
100% of Cougar Card revenues after expenses go to youth organizations. The first 50% of each card sale goes directly to the organization selling the card. Walgreens Deals 1/8-1/14 EXPIRED
Walgreens has really good deals every week. They have their weekly ads, and monthly store books near the door so grab these before you head in. Their Register Rewards (RRs) take some getting to though. I had to learn couponing the hard way at Walgreens. I'll post a more detailed explantaion about this later. But, in a nutshell, when using RRs, you can't use more than items (RRs and manufacturer coupons). If you buy 2 of an item offering a RR, only 1 will print. You cannot "roll" an RR to buy the same item. It will print another RR. You can, however, do multiple transactions alternating RRs and items.

CVS Deals 1/8-1/14 EXPIRED
This past year I discovered a love for drugstore shopping. I used to think that's where you went to pick up your prescription and buy things like BandAids and Pepto Bismol. But they offer so much more. CVS is my current favorite (though I miss the old Longs) due to their generous policy and rewards. If you haven't yet joined CVS' Extra Care Rewards Program, you should do so immediately. Your card entitles you to sale prices and Extra Care Bucks (ECBs). Also, every quarter you are rewarded back 2% of your purchases in ECBs. And they calculate your spending before your coupons are applied. How cool is that? ECBs are like money. Don't lose them.
